I am shocked and saddened by the death of Heath Ledger. He had always been one of the actors that made fascinating choices in the roles he took. He was great in “10 Things I Hate About You.” He made what could have been just another teen date movie into something so much more.
There's no question that, he should have won the Oscar for “Brokeback Mountain”. That will always be one of the best performances of all time. In that movie you can see every bit of emotion in his eyes.
Good actors can deliver the scene and make you get it. Great actors can quietly let the camera focus on their eyes and never have to say a word of dialog and you are charmed, enlightened or emotionally devastated.
Heath Ledger was that kind of actor.
He will be missed.
