Kitty Lit

"How nice it is to think that feline dreams, like our own, are painted with creative brush strokes from time to time. Perhaps my cats and I even share the same dream: a world where all kittens are wanted and loved, and where every cat has a safe, warm place to sleep...and to dream."

Ketchup Time

I haven't posted much for the past few days and it is time for me to catch up. We had bad weather here and I had to pull some overtime at work. A couple of people couldn't make it in. I went to work on Thursday night at 11:00, left at 9:30 Friday morning, went back at 6:00 PM Friday night and then left at 8:00 Saturday morning. Needless to say, I slept a lot on Saturday to get myself back to normal. I kind of feel like I have been beaten up.
.
In the past week, I have re watched some great movies. I watched Shakespeare in Love, Sense & Sensibility, Across The Universe, Fallen and Maya Lin: A Strong Clear Vision.
.
I have been enjoying "Lost" on TV. That show just keeps getting better and better. As the show answers five old mysteries it starts ten new ones.
.
I am also loving the winter edition of "Big Brother" My favorite "Couples" in the house so far are: James/Chelsea & Joshauh/Sharon. Big drama last night as two of the girls got deathly sick and ambulances came and took them away. The video online of Amanda fainting and going into convulsions was really intense and frightening to watch. The incident won't appear on CBS until Wednesday night. I wonder how much of it they will show.
.
I did learn something new though. there is a "Panic" button in the Big Brother house that the contestants can push if there is an emergency. It overrides all of CBS's safeguards and rings at the Police and Fire Departments. Allison was with the on-set doctors because of her allergic reaction to something she ate, when Amanda fainted ,due to hypoglycemia, the other house guests could not get in the diary room to get help, so they had to push the emergency button and the ambulance and fire fighters were there in a matter of a couple of minutes. Both of the girls are ok now and are back in the house. The doctors at the hospital gave them both medicines to help if they have another attack. The Big Brother "Slop" is now gone out of the house. My guess is that they will have to watch more carefully when they are "starving" the contestants in the future.
.
Thursday is "National Tooth Fairy Day". I found a great picture that I will post on Thursday.

3 Way Tie

The Best Romance Movie Poll Reuslts

The poll ended last Wednesday and I forgot to write a post about it. There was a total of 9 votes. I guess I will wait to do another poll until I have more traffic here. The choices were ten of my favorite romance movies. My personal pick is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." I can't tell my main reason for loving it without spoilers. All I can say is, watch it with open eyes and an open heart. Just beautiful and most importantly real.

The winners, with 2 votes each are:

"Brokeback Mountain"

"Moulin Rouge"

"The Notebook"

Also garnering 1 vote each are:

"Big Eden", "Eternal Sunshine" & "Somewhere In Time"

New Music Site

Charley found this music search site and I thought I would share it with you. It's http://www.woonz.com/. You can search for any song, listen and then download it. I don't know how long it will last before the music police squash it but it can give you a couple of hours of hunting fun.

Grammys Got It Right 2 Years In A Row ???

Amy Winehouse won 5 Grammy Awards and all I can say is WOW. The Grammys got it right 2 years in a row. Last year the Dixie Chicks won numerous awards for their brilliant song "Not Ready To Make Nice" and this year "Rehab" won Song & Record of the year. I can't believe it. The Grammy Awards have had a long history of getting it WRONG for so many years.

I Love Amy Winehouse and think she is an unbelievably talented singer. She has a vocal gift that can give her a life long career. I wish she would get healthly and get clean. I wish it for her and I wish it for all of the true music lovers around the world. It may sound selfish, but I do not want to lose out on all of the great music that would be lost, if she can not break free from drugs.

If she loses that battle, then we all lose.

Labels, Not Just For Underwear Anymore ...

Labels: New Addition To This Blog ...

I have gone through every one of my older posts and added labels to them.

If you look at the bottom of a post you will see right below the comment line a new feature. Right next to the word "Labels" you will have clickable titles.

For Example in the "Iraq Stats" posts you can click on the word Iraq at the bottom and you will go to a page that has ALL of the "Iraq Stats" posts. If you click on the word "Cats" at the bottom of the "Kitty Lit" post, you will be taken to a page that has all of the posts about cats. etc. etc. etc.

Also, you can go to the chart on the right and go directly to each section. The "Labels" chart is right below "Past Musings" chart. Go look and see the different categories that are listed. I may add more or tweak the titles at a later date, but for now, there you go.

Hope this new feature will be helpful, if you are trying to find more "Musings" about a particular subject.

Bouncy Mouse

,
Chessie finally killed the original Bouncy Mouse by pulling the stuffing out, so I was forced to open the one that I bought for my sister Virginia. I was going to mail it to her so she could hang it from her mirror in her car.
.
Chessie carries it around in his mouth like he is carrying a baby kitten. He even sleeps with it.
.
Bouncy Mouse, I hope you live longer this time.

Reviewer Funnier Than Movie

I don't mean to be cruel here. I like Eva Langoria on Desperate Hosewives. The part of Gabby is well written and is very funny.
.
I haven't seen the movie, but I was reading the reviews of "Over Her Dead Body" on http://www.rottentomatoes.com/ when I came across the review by Kevin Carr.
.
His blurb about the movie was funnier than anything in the trailer.

He said:

"Eva Longoria brings a Jennifer Lopez level of suck to the screen."

I nearly pissed my pants after I read that. Clearly Kevin Carr should be writing movies instead of just reviewing them. WTG Mr. Carr.

Matilda Rose

Michelle Williams released this statement about Heath today:
.
"Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day. His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up with the best memories of him."
.
I wasn't going to write about Heath anymore because it is just too sad, but Michelle's words made me tear up and I decided to put this on here today.
